Flame Detection

Flame Detection

Flame Detectors operate in the harshest environmental conditions and are self-contained stand-alone devices designed for direct connection to control and alarm systems or automatic fire extinguishing systems. Flame detector generally works through a series of UV/IR wavelength singles given off by a flame. This single is interpreted by the detector which triggers an alarm state.

Flame detectors can quickly analyze the sensory inputs from both the ultraviolet and infrared light sources emitted by a flame to accurately warn of the presence of fire.

Flame detectors do not take up much space and are not subject to the same environmental constraints as traditional detection such as outdoor ceiling height etc where ordinary heat and smoke detection cannot be used.
